Baked Kale Chips
Olive oil is all you need to turn fresh kale leaves into a delicious, low calorie, good-for-you snack. Like potato chips, you cannot stop at just eating one. They are great for parties and a good conversation topic.

Portions per Recipe: 4 Portion Size: 1 cup
Special Materials or Equipment Needed:
Oven
Knife or kitchen shears
Baking sheet
Salad Spinner
Large mixing bowl
Aluminum foil
Spatula
Ingredients and Amounts:
1 Bunch of kale
2 tsp Olive oil
Cooking spray
1 tsp Salt (optional)
1 tsp Parmesan cheese
Directions:
• Preheat oven to 200 degrees F.
• Line baking sheet with aluminum foil. Lightly spray the baking sheet with the cooking spray.
• With a knife or kitchen shears carefully remove the leaves from the thick stems and tear into bite size pieces. Wash and thoroughly dry kale with a salad spinner. Drizzle kale with olive oil and toss.
• Place kale leaves in a single layer on the baking sheet.
• Bake 10 minutes. Remove from oven and turn kale over with a spatula. Bake 10 more minutes or until evenly crisp.
• Remove from oven.
• Let chips cool. Then top with parmesan cheese and salt (optional).
